68 year old Community series actor Chevy Chase feels that his character in the show as Pierce Hawthorne does not reflect what he can do. He feels that his character can be funnier if well written.

Even so, Chevy appreciated what everyone else does in the series but he strongly felt that they may not be aware of what to do with him. He felt that the confusion is what landed him the role he plays of a grey-haired, biased and intolerant man. He feels he has a high sense of humor that is being underutilized in the series.
Finally, he said that he was uncertain about his returning on the next season of the series. He mentioned that he wasn’t sure if NBC had renewed the series and if they had, he hadn’t made his mind about returning. It is reported that Chevy has a dispute with Dan Harmon, the series creator.
