Community 3.15 “Origins of Vampire Mythology” Review

This episode was titled ‘Origins of Vampire Mythology‘. And after last week’s episode it was a welcome development for fans to see the duo back to their normal best. The relationship between Troy and Abed is arguably the anchor of this show. And one good example of how important that tag team was when they had to stay apart because of the fight.

Community Season 3 Episode 15

The study group was perfect blend of characters. Britta and her issue with the male species, Annie who loves playing mother and can be so naive, Jeff whose only issue is that he has an ego that is bigger than his brains, and then there is Dean.

The other story involved Pierce and Chang. It looks like Pierce really should have a new best friend because it looks like the so called off screen tension between the two characters is rubbing off on them on screen.

Jeff’s ego worked for him in a reverse sort o way to make him give a speech that was inspiring and just was some one like Britta needed. She had sought the help of Annie to shield her from her ex-boyfriend but it was Jeff’s speech that really did it for her.

The show is fiction but there are times when it really looks real life because of the intelligence that they apply in telling there stories. Britta was too preoccupied with a man that did not really care for her all her text messages and phone calls is something that the average viewer would identify with. There are people like that who do not really care but you see other living in another world when it comes to them.

And Jeff’s outburst placed everything in the right perspective as it yanked her out of her imagined world to face the reality on ground that the guy she is pinning for in not interested in her and she should move on.

Troy’s on approach also came with a dose of reality. He deduced that all he had to be was nice to Britta and she would run away from him. The good thing here was that the writers had not forgotten about the Troy and Britta storyline.

Britta got a lot of screen time in this episode and was quite funny. Glad to see the show returning to its normal format after the documentary like episode of last week.
