The comedy drama has got a 13 episode approval from NBC.

Dan Harmon, the show runner for the first three seasons is rumored to be returning for the fifth season.

He was earlier fired from the show after a public feud he had with the star Chevy Chase. Harmon was then replaced by David Guarascio and Moses Port.

But Chase will not be playing the role of Pierce Hawthorne in the fifth season of Community.

NBC meanwhile is expecting Harmon to return to the show for the reportedly final season of the show.

The fourth season of the show finished on May 9 in the US and in the UK the third season of the show is being telecast at present by Sony Entertainment Television.

NBC has given the nod for the sitcom starring Joel McHale on May 12, when there were rumors that the creator Dan Harmon may return to the show even after his exit in the fourth season.

Alison Brie who appears as Annie in the show has said in her Twitter page that she was thankful for the fans of the show as they had campaigned for it.

She said that it was the loyalty of the fans to the show that had made it go on and said that the fans were incredible.

Gillian Jacobs her costar in the show was also excited about the fifth season renewal of the show.

All through the fourth season, Community has struggled to maintain the ratings, but as far as the fans were concerned, the show had a loyal following that supported the show in the online campaigns.

Jeff has graduated. His graduation ceremony was very fitting of him. There are times when Community appears to be a series from the early 90s. This week‘s instalment is one of those times we are taken back to a time when mobile phones were only beginning to get ubiquitous and the internet was far from being norm.

It is amazing that despite such a risky move, we did not notice any bad ramifications of the decision. There were a number of Community quotes, Annie and Jeff make out and a lot of other things happen.

This was also one of those episode where Community was at its best. This was similar to the finales of seasons one and two. Both finales threw plot development out of the window and opted for all kinds of crazy things to bring audience in an alternate reality.

Jeff Winger is a slow-burn character on the series. This episode was a fantastic tribute to him. Surely season four has its flaws, but this episode was not one of them. In fact this week’s instalment was one of the best of Community.

Is this the end? NBC is tight lipped about the future of the show. It is probable that the broadcaster is waiting to get input on ratings before giving its verdict. At this moment in time we can only hope for the best. To conclude these college graduations of Community will always remain a memorable experience.

With enough credits to graduate, Jeff contemplates his future; the study group once again is faced with the darkest timeline.

New Girl prequel episode delved into a long flashback which focused on the romantic and sexual meetings of the characters.

Community uses its prequel episode “Heroic Origins” for a more conservative end. They focus on the stories of Greendale Seven, and how each of them end up being a part of the school.

The research of Abed was a sentimental tribute to a 2008 Angelina Jolie film Wanted. The instalment dexterously between the past and present as it alternates between different times.

Community is a series which has always had a penchant for alternative times. This episode lacked the heaviness of several previous episodes. This was a relatively light episode. That does not mean it was in any way less satisfying.

The series writers are aware of the fans’ desires. They fulfil them this week. Many fans were clamouring for a peek into the past of Britta when she was a radical politician. There were also noises to find the stripper who caused the demise of Shirley’s marriage. She turns out to be a stand-up comedian named Natasha Leggero.

The episode was permeated with a kind of “end of senior year” feeling. This was an inevitable consequence of the direction the show has been heading for long. The series is focusing on loose ends and wrapping them. In Abed’s words: “We’re really filling in some plot holes here.”

Community appears to have found a new groove as it is nearing the end of this season. The last four episodes have demonstrated what eluded us for so long in the beginning of this season. The series is a little more goofy now, but it is working.

Hale tied the knot with Sarah Williams in 1996 and they have two sons now.

According to reports, when asked about people thinking of him as gay due to his impeccable dress sense, he had reacted that he still saw the comments on Twitter and felt flattered by them.

He went on to say that he thought the offended behavior of men, when someone thinks them as gay was strange and said that it was wrong to be offended and instead they should take it as a compliment.

He also revealed to the plenty of man crushes saying that he was not choosy and liked Brian Williams, Josh Gad, Nathan Fillion, Patrick Steward, Chaz Bono and Kobe Bryant.

He also added that he had been constantly receiving proposals from men saying that men tweeted to him about staying at a hotel in L.A. and inviting him.

Hale has been recently included in a comedy featuring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler.

Abed, becomes convinced that the study group was destined to meet at Greendale and pieces together everyone’s past – revealing that their lives have been intertwined for years. Meanwhile, Chang plots to destroy Greendale once and for all.

The way Lindsay Lohan’s body is switched by the fortune cookie makes one empathize with Lindsay Lohan. The episode written by Jim Rash, the Academy Award winning screenwriter has a wonderful and gripping storyline with some interesting moments thrown in.

The fast paced and lively story made the viewer sit up and notice the events. Britta and Troy dating for a whole year is somewhat unbelievable. And more so is the case of Leonard graduating after he has been attending school for forty or more years. But the way the story is told makes the faults disappear. And having Dean Ziffron on screen adds energy to the proceedings.

Community has always managed to ride on its gimmicks and the fourth season is not an exception to this trend. Especially this season helps to put more focus on the gimmicks, so that the less absorbing and ridiculous plots in the show are ignored. But in this episode, the gimmicks fused well with the story line and also had some interesting scenes that showed the close intimacy that Abed and Troy had. The obvious lack of rapport between Britta and Troy too was dealt with wonderfully.

The plain lack of empathy and the complex manner in which the obsession of Dean Pelton for Jeff was brought out were also interesting and enjoyable.

The episode was so perfectly played out that it did not have the necessity for the usual gags of Ken Jeong or the some of the sideline plots that just erupt now and then and fizz out soon. Mostly such scenes extend to only one or two episodes and just disappear without a trace. Instead the episode provided wholesome comedy and was well set up and firmly anchored making it a treat for the viewers.

And the approval for the nerds that Annie loves to distraction was also a good one. Dean Jeffton and even Han Abed as the nerds were amusing and an interesting part of the show. The successful streak that the show has been showing in the last few episodes makes it unfortunate to know about the future prospect of the show, which is not very good at the moment. But things may well change for the better. The body switch may well happen again and the show may go on for another few seasons.

The series was postponed days before the premier of the show was scheduled last year, but later on the series was telecast in spring.

In response to rumors that the show will end with the present season, McHale has said that the last episode of the show was done well by the cast, with the story in charge of Jim Rash, the Oscar winning writer. He had written the episode Basic Human Anatomy.

He also added that the ending would hopefully be liked by everyone, as it will feature plenty of violence and sex.

Ken Jeong had recently heaped praise on the Community cast saying that they were a talented team and that he was happy to work with them.

NBC will air Community at 8/7c on Thursdays.

Meanwhile, Troy (Donald Glover) and Abed (Danny Pudi) reminisce about one of their favorite body switching films and when they inadvertently re-enact a critical scene, things start becoming a little funky at Greendale.
